2006 Congratulations to

Dave Johnson Finished Third at Top Gun!
Dave Johnson, who recently moved from our area to take a job in IL has just finished Third at Top Gun in Lakeland Florida. This is a "by invitation only" event and only the best competitors are invited. I checked the r/c groups and many attendees commented how bad the wind was and how remarkable the pilots were to get their masterpieces up and down in one piece. A couple of pictures are shown below. Here is a link to some videos taken at the event: http://largoflyingclub.com/topgun.htm If you click on the "panther jet" video, you can see Dave flipping the prop on the Albatross at the very beginning, no doubt preparing for a flight. Take note of the flags - they are straight out and you can hear the wind in the video camera microphone! Unfortunately this came in just after the Newsletter was mailed out. Congratulations Dave!
